Resilience starts with communities
CLEAR — Community Lead Ecological Adaptation & Resilience — is an emerging platform focused on adaptation and resilience where people live and work: coasts, mangroves, tropical forests, agroforestry, and urban greenspace. Science informs decisions; communities lead design and stewardship.

Landscapes where local stewards, scientists, and partners co-design restoration and adaptation pathways that protect biodiversity, carbon, and livelihoods.

Forest ecologist working on biodiversity–ecosystem functioning, climate extremes, resilience, and nature-based solutions — with experience across Kyoto University, NASA Goddard, HKU, Jiangmen Lab / HKUST, and PolyU. CLEAR focuses the community adaptation side of this agenda; GAINS focuses GeoAI and ecological monitoring science.
